We are excited to partner with Clothed in Strength for an Autism Single Mom Pop-Up Boutique Event. Join us on Monday, October 21st from 10am-Noon at 301 S. Main Street, Poland, OH. Items will be donated to moms.
If you have childcare, please enjoy this time to shop by yourself. They do have a small playroom and we hope but can’t guarantee to have 1-2 support staff to provide light childcare at this time. If you are a teacher, aide, nurse, social worker, or related and can volunteer please email our Director, Robin at robin@autismmv.org.
Clothed in Strength provides women’s and children’s clothing, shoes, household goods, diapers, and other needs. Their mission is the bridge the gap between financial freedom and government assistance for low to moderate-income single mothers.
We will provide information on our programs and will have a flyer with local resources to support autism families. Our mission is to create connections, empowering everyone in the Autism community with the resources needed to live fully. We understand when basic needs are not being met it can be difficult to focus on autism needs. We hope this event and connecting families with another great local resource will help them. If you have any of the above as donations please contact Clothed in Strength for their drop off instructions. Items should be new or in gently used condition.
A couple of housekeeping items from Clothed in Strength:
They require photo ID and verification of household. This could be custody papers or tax return with dependents shown. They serve single mothers currently raising dependent children. They also extend their services to grandmothers who have custody of their grandchildren. Parking is limited. If you don’t have mobility concerns and are safe to walk across the street if have children with you, please park at the Poland Library or Town Hall across the street. The Autism Society will provide reusable bags for this event.
